Growing up one of my favorite bands during my grade school years was The Police. Their mix of reggae beats with new wave seemed so different and fresh compared with the majority of music being played on commercial radio in the 1980s... Now I have to admit The Police aren't on my regular rotation any more, but this morning I ran across audio from the 1983 Synchronicity Tour rehearsal on youtube (thanks POLICEchout!) and it got me thinking about music I enjoyed in my youth.
